한반도 남부지역의 왜계 요소 : 기원후 3~6세기대를 중심으로

기원후 3세기에서 6세기 전반까지 한반도 남부지역에서 출토된 열도계 문물은 당시 한반도 남부지역과 열도간 상호작용의 결과물로서 시기에 따라 그 양상이 다르게 나타났다. 3세기 후반에서 4세기 전반까지 한반도와 열도간의 교류는 낙동강 하류지역과 북부 큐슈지역간에 집중적으로 이루어졌음을 알 수 있었다. 4세기 전반의 늦은 시기부터 금관가야 최고 지배층과 열도의 최고 지배층 사이에 위세품의 상호공유가 나타났고, 이것은 양 지배집단 사이에 교섭 관계가 맺어졌음을 나타내는 표상이었다. 그러나 400년 고구려군 남정으로 낙동강 하류지역과 열도의 교류관계는 큰 타격을 받아 와해되고, 5세기대에는 한반도 남부지역과 열도의 교류는 구심점이 형성되지 않았다. 6세기대에 왜계 문물이 남해안과 남강수계, 남서해안과 영산강수계, 금강수계 등 해안은 물론 내륙에도 분포하고, 유물과 분묘도 확인되었고, 왜계 고분에 매장된 피장자는 왜인으로 추론되었다. 남부지역에 정주한 왜인들은 정주지의 재지 수장층, 또는 재지수장층과 중앙의 지원 하에 한반도의 선진물품 및 정보ㆍ기술을 열도에 공급하였다.

The artifacts of Japanese manners excavated in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula in the 3th century ~ early 6th century AD, are results of interaction between the southern part of the Korean Peninsula and the Japanese Islands. The interchange between two countries assumes various aspects according to the periods. In the late 3th century to early 4th century, the interchange between the Korean Peninsula and the Japanese Islands trends to concentrate between the lower reaches of the Nakdong River and northern Kyushu. It is the sign of relations between the two ruling class that the chief ruling class of Kumkwan Gaya and the Japanese Islands shared prestige materials from the close of the early 4th century. However, after the interchange between the lower reaches of the Nakdong River and the Japanese Islands leaded to collapse due to military expedition by Gogurye A.D. 400, it seems that there were not relations between the southern part of the Korean Peninsula and the Japanese Islands in the 5th century. In the 6th century, artifacts of Wa(왜)'s manners including relics and tombs are distributed over inland areas as well as the south coast, the Nan River valley, the southwest coast, Youngsan River valley, and Kum River valley etc., and the body buried the tomb of Wa(왜)’s manners is presumed to be Wa(왜)'s resident. The Wa(왜)'s residents located in the southern part produced the advanced culture, information and technology of the Korean Peninsula to the Japanese Islands under the support of the local ruling class in the community, or both the local ruling class and the center.
